Why Parents Should Talk Their Kids Into Joining A Gang by Scotty These days there is so much hype about why parents should talk to their kids about not joining a gang. I think this is all wrong. I think parents should encourage their kids to join a gang, or better yet start a gang up if there already isn't one in your town. Below are a few ways that your kid will learn to become a successful gang leader, and ultimately become a leader in life. Working Together... Gang membership will help our youngsters learn teamwork. This quality is heavily stressed in college and in the work place, so what better place to start than in a gang. In order for the gang to be successful, everyone must learn to work together. In order to have a productive drive-by, you would need both the shooter and the driver helping one another. This is only one example. Just think of all the drug deals, murders, and liquor store robberies that could go awry without a good team effort. Upward Mobility... As kids get older and enter the work force, they will be advancing themselves and their organization. They can learn many lessons trying to work their way up the ladder. At first they are on the bottom doing all the grunt work- out there hustling, dealing drugs, drive-bys, what have you, all for the people and the top. They have to work their way up to one day be that guying calling the shots, collecting that money from the young ones slanging dope. Sure, the kid might have to get beat up when he joins, you know "jumped in", but hey, life has its bumps and bruises. Taking the Initiative... Now what if your town doesn't have a gang? This is the perfect time for the kid to become an entrepreneur. What better lesson than to starting something up? It takes alot of work. They will need to recruit other young kids and teach them the ways of gang life. In order for it to be a success they will really have to put in some effort. They will need to push drugs to develop a solid client-base. This could be difficult since many users already have a dealer. This obstacle is easily overcome by pushing drugs on young, innocent, non-users. By doing so, they learn valuable marketing techniques as well as creating a dependency on the product. Financial Independence... Finally, many parents want their kids to get jobs to start making some money before heading out to college or whatever career path they choose to pursue. If it is a successful gang, then they are brining in some serious loot. Even the low kid on the totem pole is still making more money than all the other non-gang workers. Not only does your kid know the value of a dollar, he can pimp hos or run drugs practically anywhere. Parents, take a step back and rethink that discussion you want to have about gangs. If you lead your kid along the gang path you may just be surprised. Coming up soon, "Why Parents Should Talk to Their Kids About Drugs" |
